Looking back on 2024, there were many amazing highlights but also real lows in the form of the passing of two of our cats. Fifi and Fiona were the names of these two sisters, real beauties. Fifi was a bit more mischievous and playful, while Fiona was a true enjoyer of life. So much so that we thought she should have an Italian name, hence Fiona Fiorina. They will always be remembered! The basses that were ordered in December, where a part of the purchase price goes to KKS.nu, an organization that helps homeless cats with food and healthcare and finds homes for them. We support this organization with donations every month.

Highlights

Several new PureArt basses have been built. These fantastic short-scale 30" basses with a clear but powerful yet soft tone continue to impress me. This series will introduce new innovations that you will soon see and hear. In addition, 2024 started with a new Artist bass, new design principles that contribute to a more resonant and energetic response from the instrument, a design that is being implemented in all instruments I build in 2024. Those who have tested my basses have truly loved the new innovations. They have excellent sustain and resonance, along with a great dynamic ability. These three qualities are usually opposites. Ozellman also received an update, making it much easier to access the last fret, which is the 23rd, and the 24th fret can be added at no extra cost. We also have a new output jack with 4 contact points on the signal instead of one. The jack is maintenance-free with superior contact surface and stability, and gold-plated. The speakers received new midrange and tweeter elements, benefiting the midrange focus without overpowering it. More expensive to manufacture but worth it. The speakers now come in what I call the 300, 500, and 600 series. Further description will be coming soon. The speakers also received a new finish that reflects natural colors and a lovely matte durable finish that feels very exclusive.

On a personal note I travelled to Rome in June, this amazing city still amazes me after a 19 year love affair with all things Italian! Every corner there is something amazing and awesome. A real contrast to today's Brutalism design in architecture and cars. I prefer beautiful lines that the human eye prefer. That design language can be found everywhere in nature. Besides, I started a Youtube channel where I post my travels. Christian Olsson Travels fittingly enough... Click here to see more or check out the video ->
